Two independent chambers for hygienic treatment

DUO is a self-service machine for helmet treatment, odour removal, dust extraction, drying and fragrance freshening. The standard version treats up to two helmets simultaneously. Each chamber can run independently, and both can operate at the same time. Options also include treating a helmet and gloves in one cycle and adaptations for other sports equipment.

Custom DUO configuration: footwear + helmet

We can prepare a combined version to order: chamber 1 for footwear and chamber 2 for motorcycle or bicycle helmets. One chamber of the existing two-helmet model is adapted with a footwear holder or rack. The manufacturer has not previously produced this particular configuration, but can manufacture it following an order and agreement on the specification. This is a custom option, not standard equipment on every DUO machine.

How footwear and helmet treatment works

The machine uses no water or brushes. It combines disinfectant spraying, UV sterilisation lamps and vacuum dust extraction. Its main functions are disinfection and odour removal, with fragrance freshening. According to the manufacturer, treatment also targets sterilisation and mite removal.

This is not a washing machine or a mechanical scrubbing system. It does not remove stubborn dirt, heavy visible stains or substantial soiling on white footwear. The result should be assessed as hygienic treatment and freshening, rather than washing or stain removal. The manufacturer has indicated that it could record a demonstration of the complete cycle, showing white shoes before and after treatment and a helmet test; neither the date nor availability of the video is confirmed.

Three modes with independent chamber settings

Cycle duration can be set independently for each chamber: quick mode 3 minutes, medium mode 5–7 minutes, deep mode approximately 10 minutes. A 5-minute medium cycle is also available. Service settings and cycle prices can be adapted to the operation and customer needs.

According to the manufacturer, footwear remains completely dry throughout the process and can be worn immediately afterwards. No water supply or wastewater connection is required. There is no built-in washing tank; disinfectant and fragrance reservoirs are for treatment, not washing.

Suitable footwear materials

According to the manufacturer, suitable materials are textiles, mesh, smooth leather and Gore-Tex. Suede is not recommended, as disinfectant mist may cause discolouration or stains. Check that the specific footwear or protective equipment is compatible with the recommended treatment agent and its manufacturer’s care instructions.

Applications in sports, rental services and other operations

The machine supports hygiene for equipment that is rented out or shared. Applications include indoor and outdoor karting circuits, motorcycle schools, motorcycle, scooter and quad rental services, race circuits, enduro and motocross venues. Other settings include ski and snowboard resorts, ski rental services, children’s ski schools, bike parks, downhill and BMX centres, and bicycle and e-bike rental businesses.

Helmet treatment can also be used in riding schools, equestrian centres, pony clubs, sports stables and trail-riding businesses, martial arts and training clubs, entertainment and adventure centres, children’s attractions and industrial workplaces using protective helmets. Suitability and dimensions of particular equipment depend on the configuration.

Controls, payments and remote monitoring

The 15.6-inch touchscreen offers multilingual controls with on-screen language switching, including Slovak and Hungarian. Online management and monitoring help track usage and operating statistics. Connectivity: 4G / WiFi / Ethernet. Contactless bank cards and mobile payments are available depending on configuration.

Disinfectant and fragrance liquids are refilled through top filling ports. The machine monitors liquid levels and sends the operator a remote notification when they are low. Regular checks, replenishment of consumables and maintenance according to operating instructions are recommended.

Technical specifications and installation

Dimensions: width 650 × depth 600 × height 2025 mm. Weight: 109 kg machine only; 186 kg including wooden export packaging. White or black finish with optional custom graphics.

The standard version is primarily intended for sheltered indoor use at a recommended temperature above 0 °C. For outdoor installation, an electrical-component adaptation can be ordered for operation down to −18 °C. Installation requires a firm, level base, mains electricity and internet access according to configuration; no water or drain connection is needed.
