How to choose a helmet cleaning and disinfection machine
A single-helmet machine or the two-chamber DUO?
Single-helmet models treat one helmet per cycle. Our range includes versions for general-purpose, karting, motorcycle, skiing and riding helmets. Standard DUO can treat up to two helmets simultaneously, with each chamber starting independently. Your choice depends on customer numbers, frequency of use, available space and the configuration you need.

A helmet disinfection machine is suitable for karting venues, motorcycle training schools, motorcycle and sports equipment rentals, ski resorts, bike parks, riding schools and other facilities with shared helmets. For protective helmets and specialist equipment, check compatibility and dimensions first. A clearly visible location near reception or the equipment collection and return point makes the service easier for customers to use.
What does cleaning and disinfection mean with DUO?
DUO combines disinfectant spraying, UV sterilisation lamps and vacuum dust extraction. Its main focus is disinfection, odour removal and refreshing with fragrance. It uses neither water nor brushes and does not replace washing or mechanical removal of stubborn dirt. Other models may offer different features; always compare their individual descriptions.
Can the machine treat footwear too?
Yes, DUO can be ordered in a custom configuration with one chamber for footwear and the other for motorcycle or bicycle helmets. The manufacturer has not yet produced this particular combination; it can be prepared after an order and agreement on the design. According to the manufacturer, textiles, mesh, smooth leather and Gore-Tex are suitable. Suede is not recommended because of the risk of discolouration or staining. The machine does not remove heavy visible stains from white footwear.
How long is a DUO cycle, and does it need water?
DUO cycle times can be set independently for each chamber: quick mode takes 3 minutes, medium mode 5–7 minutes and deep mode approximately 10 minutes. A 5-minute medium cycle is also available. According to the manufacturer, footwear stays dry and can be worn immediately. No water supply or drainage pipe is required; this is not a washing machine with a washing tank. Check the modes and requirements in the specifications of other models.
Installation, payments and operation
When choosing a machine, consider capacity, equipment compatibility, space, electricity, internet, payment options and maintenance. Standard DUO is primarily intended for sheltered indoor use above 0 °C; an electrical component modification can be ordered for outdoor operation down to −18 °C. Depending on configuration, it supports contactless card and mobile payments, online management and low fluid level alerts.
