The vending machine is designed for moments when someone needs a quick snack, a takeaway lunch or something small to eat but does not want to search for a shop, wait in a queue or depend on standard opening hours.
Thanks to the large glass display, customers can clearly see the available products before making a purchase. They select a product on the touchscreen, pay using the cashless payment terminal and then collect it from the dispensing area.

Project brief
The aim was to create a practical self-service sales point where customers could purchase quick refreshments directly in Frýdek-Místek.
The vending machine needed to be highly visible, easy to operate and suitable for outdoor use. It was also important to offer several types of products and present them clearly before the customer made a purchase.
The solution was designed to provide:
- quick refreshment purchases without waiting,
- self-service operation without permanent staff,
- sufficient capacity for baguettes and other packaged products,
- simple product selection using a touchscreen,
- convenient cashless payment,
- a distinctive design that immediately communicates what the machine offers,
- protection for the equipment in an outdoor location.
Our solution
We supplied a modern baguette vending machine with a large glass-fronted display area. Customers can see the individual products, their positions and availability before completing their purchase.
Inside the machine, there are several levels of product positions. The selection can be changed regularly according to demand, time of day or season. The operator can therefore offer various types of baguettes, sandwiches, sweet and savoury snacks and other packaged refreshments.
A touchscreen is positioned on the right-hand side of the machine, allowing customers to select the required product easily. Below it is a payment terminal for cashless transactions.
The purchase process consists of several simple steps:
- the customer views the available selection,
- selects the required product on the screen,
- completes a cashless payment,
- collects the refreshment from the dispensing area.
The entire purchase is fast, intuitive and does not require assistance from staff.
Outdoor vending machine with a protective canopy
As the machine is installed outdoors, we equipped it with a large protective canopy. It extends beyond the front of the machine and helps protect both the equipment and the customer from direct sunlight and adverse weather conditions.
The machine stands on a prepared solid base and is securely positioned in a publicly accessible area. This allows it to operate as an independent sales point without the need to build a traditional retail unit.
The outdoor version is particularly suitable for:

Custom vending machine design
The machine features distinctive EATKING branding, which immediately communicates its quick-refreshment offer.
The design uses a clean, light background combined with photographs of baguettes, sandwiches, snacks, chocolate and chilled drinks. The bold slogan “Zažeň hlad!”, meaning “Beat your hunger!”, addresses customers directly and clearly.
The lower part of the machine uses warm brown and orange tones that visually connect with baked goods and quick refreshments. The branding also helps the machine stand out in the urban environment and shows customers from a distance what type of products they can expect to find inside.
The result
A new location for the self-service sale of baguettes and quick refreshments has been created in Frýdek-Místek.
Customers can easily purchase a snack or takeaway meal without searching for an open shop or waiting for service. The machine is suitable for employees of nearby businesses, local residents, students, drivers and people simply passing through the area.
For the operator, the baguette vending machine represents an independent sales channel that:
